Last weekend, while tourists were taking over Stockholm for the royal wedding, we decided to take the opportunity and leave town ... We headed south to Östergötland, to visit Vadstena and Alvastra. I loved it there!

Every time I look at pictures of the Swedish country side I rediscover how beautiful this country really is; especially now that the snow has cleared and one can see all the shapes and colors that were hiding underneath ... I'm already looking forward to my next road trip ...

I had intended to visit Gotland for some time now, but for some reason I never got to it.

This month, however, the stars finally aligned (☺) and I managed to set foot on the island. It's definitely a place to revisit.
